Adult Center On-Site-Childcare Program

Journey House is a Family Literacy Site that emphasizes learning, and participating with family members through a variety of activities that are provided for our parents at the Adult Learning Center. At the center of these activities is our On-Site-Childcare Program.

We provide childcare for children between the ages of walking and 6 years of age. They participate in childcare while their parents are attending classes. While in childcare they are taught by certified child care professionals who are helping them adapt to this new social environment and developing skills they will need when they enter school.  

The director of our childcare program is Elizabeth Camacho and under her direction we have participated in the Books to Go with the Milwaukee Public Library.  We are also evaluating our children by using the Ages and Stages program.
