Early Childhood Program

Journey House belives in family literacy that emphasizes learning and participating in that learnig with the entire family through a variety of activities that are provided for our parents at the Family Learning Center. They are incorporated in the on-site childcare program.  Our childcare staff assist children between the ages of walking and 6 years of age. They participate in the Early Childhood Program while their parents are attending classes. While in childcare they are taught by certified child care professionals who are helping them adapt to this new social environment and developing skills they will need when they enter school.  

The director of our childcare program is Elizabeth Camacho and under her direction we have participated in the Books to Go with the Milwaukee Public Library.  We are also evaluating our children by using the Ages and Stages program.
