Girls Let's Build (GLB)
About Girls Let's Build (GLB)
Girls Let's Build is an initiative that empowers and engages young girls ages 10-14 to develop the tools to think creatively, design, collaborate and construct. Through this series of classes led by area leaders in the fields of architecture, academics, engineering, and construction, the girls will work together to plan, design, participate in real aspects of design and construction, and then work with area leaders to take part in the construction of their project. In this process, the girls will learn how to imagine and then think critically about an idea, work with their team to transform that idea into a project, and then use both the learned tools and actual tools to build that project. The Girls Let's Build model emphasizes creating dreams and turning those dreams into a reality and exposing the strength and skill that young girls have to design and build anything they put their minds toward.
