Journey House is poised to carry out its community work as a result of strong partnerships, careful fiscal and managerial oversight, and a highly regarded 38-year history in its target community. We are additionally proud of our distinguished programs and staff. For unique programming and dedicated staff, we are fulfilling our mission in the Clarke Square Neighborhood.

Here's a list of Journey House's Recent Accomplishments

• Executive Director Dr. Bria is the distinguished 2006 national recipient of Marquette University's All-University Spirit Award for an alumna under the age of 40 for the effective community-building programs
• Executive Director Dr. Bria was chosen as one of five community leaders reported in the Milwaukee Journal as a leader embodying Dr. Martin Luther King's principles in daily life.
• Executive Director Dr. Bria was selected as a Marquette University alumni profile in the Marquette Summer 2005 for "Inspiring CORE Values."
• Youth Center Director Charles Brown was selected as one of the ten finalists in the Green Bay Packer Fan Hall of Fame for engaging young men, Journey House Esquires, in positive activities.
• Journey House has earned numerous awards for effective youth-centered prevention programming: including the "Crime Prevention Award" from the Milwaukee Police Department, the "Community Development Award" from the Department of City Development, and the "Wisconsin Cares about Kids" award from former Governor Tommy Thompson.
