Workforce Development

Workforce development strives to connect community members with family-sustaining employment. Journey House's bilingual staff assist community job seekers with resume writing, interview preparation, transportation and referrals. Journey House also works with UMOS.

W-2 participants in helping them to gain work experience at Journey House in a variety of capacities. We also develop relationships with local employers to make connections between these companies and program participants through the community-based referral process.

2007 Workforce Development Highlights

• 177 adult learners retained employment
• 19 placed into full-time employment
• 8 placed into part-time employment
