ELL - English Language Instructor - FT
Position Overview: Journey House is committed to providing community members with high-quality Adult Education and Family Learning experiences with professional and passionate staff. The primary function of the ELL Instructor is to teach adult English Language Learners and inspire students’ attainment of educational and employment goals. This position plans, teaches, and implements a variety of high-yield activities to increase students’ English speaking, reading, and writing skills. The ELL Instructor promotes quality activities designed to promote academic, civic, cultural, digital, employment, family, financial, health and wellness, social, and personal growth for adult students and their families.

Youth Programs
Community School Coordinator - Longfellow
Position Overview: The Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership is currently looking for an individual to work in partnership with United Way, Milwaukee Public Schools, Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association and Journey House as a Community School Coordinator! This position will be hired through a community-based organization and work to support the Community School model at H.W. Longfellow School (HS-8th Grade) through family & community engagement, developing communication systems, and recruiting & managing partnerships & resources around school goals. Works as part of a “special project” that is fully funded through grants and contracts. The position contract is reviewed for renewal annually. Position will have multiple evening and weekend responsibilities, including a potential nontraditional schedule with hours as early as 7am or late as 7pm. Final schedule to be determined based on designated partner school needs.

STEAM Program Coordinator
Journey House is seeking a passionate leader to join our team as our STEAM Program Coordinator (STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math).
Position Overview: Journey House is committed to providing community members with quality STEAM experiences with professional and passionate staff. The STEAM Coordinator’s primary function is to lead with integrity daily STEAM programming and provide support to the programs and services of Journey House. This position will plan, supervise and implement a variety of high-yield activities and targeted programs focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Activities should include: teaching technical skills, science projects and experiments, communication design, coding, app development, and robotics. Under the direction of the Director of Youth Leadership and Student Success, the STEAM Coordinator demonstrates a responsibility to facilitate age-appropriate programs and activities for urban youth ages 5 to 18 with an emphasis on educational, recreational, leadership development, career and strengthening individual and self-esteem. The STEAM Coordinator will work closely with Journey House Youth Program team members utilizing evaluation and data as part of educational and recreational interests. Resourcefulness and strong communication are expected to fulfill this position.

Facilities/Operations
Journey House Parks and Campus Facilities Maintenance Worker
Position Overview: Under the direction of the Director of Athletics and Stadium Operations, Journey House Parks and Campus Facilities Maintenance Worker 1 will support and enthusiastically take on a variety of parks maintenance, cleaning, and construction projects to be performed at the various Journey House Campus properties and facilities to include the Journey House Center, football stadium, baseball complex, cafe, and various Campus Housing properties. In all instances the Journey House Parks and Campus Facilities Maintenance Worker 1 performs duties with the utmost respect for campus housing residents, community members, league participants, parents, fans, and visitors while providing the best customer service experience imaginable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned in line with individual’s experiences and qualifications.
